The Church . . . The People

Cumberland began over 40 years ago as a mission of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, meeting at a local elementary school and eventually growing to our present congregation. CBC is more than a Wednesday/Sunday program. It’s a family of caring people studying and fellowshipping together so they can be equipped to reach others in need. We build relationships and thrive on participating in mission activities both here in the community and abroad.

It's All About a Relationship . . .

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word to us. It is our guide for our faith and our daily direction for life. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came in human form to die on the cross and pay the price for our sins. We believe that if we place our trust in Him and turn from sin, we are forgiven and gain eternal life in heaven. This gift cannot be earned nor is it deserved. It is God's grace offered to His creation because He loves us, and wants a relationship with us. All we have to do to begin that relationship is accept His sacrifice.
