


Cumberland Baptist Church emphasizes personal growth in a journey with other believers. We have programs for all ages, for Bible study, discipleship training, prayer, and missions.
Contemporary Worship at 8:40 am is led alternately by two praise bands, one with adult woprship leaders and one of youth leaders.
Sunday School at 9:30 has a place for you right where you are now in your life, young or old, married or single, with children without children, working or retired.
Come and you will find a class that is just right for you.
Traditional Worship provides a setting for worship with music from piano and organ, and singing treasured hymns.
Sunday evenings are a busy time at Cumberland.
The Youth Praise Band meets to rehearse at 4:30 to prepare for the Awakening or for the Sunday morning early service.
Youth Tech meets at 4:30 pm for those not on the praise team to brainstorm about skits or to prepare for filming videos.
The praise team members join in at 5:30 for a snack supper, and all join the for a time of activity, to perform and film a skit,
for a monthly service project, or to watch a video together.
Chapel Choir rehearsal is at 5:15 to prepare for Sunday morning worship.
Evening Worship is at 6:30 and is a time for continuing the day's services to draw closer to God.
Wednesday is a busy night in the life of the church with activities for all ages.
Family style dinner begins at 5:00, all are welcome
Children's choirs begin at 5:30, with choirs for grades 1-6
RAs and GAs Missions at 6:30 provide an opportunity for boys and girls in grades 1-6 to learn about missions around the world, and how they can be a part.
The Awakening at 6:30 pm is a special time of youth praise and worship
Adult Prayer and Bible Study is led by pastor Kerry Bond at 6:30 pm.
Cumberland has a number of ministries within the church to help each other draw closer to Christ.
Youth Ministry focuses on activities for youth including weekly worship and Bible study, and fun outings to draw closer to each other.
The Gathering is a Young Adult Bible study om Tuesdays at 7 pm when college and career young adults can fellowship, talk, and learn about God's Word.

Festival of Tables is a banquet abou tevery 18 months where women of all ages come together to decorate tables in creating ways, share a meal together, then
have a fun program of entertainment.
Widow and Widower's banquet is an annual banquet for the widows and widowers of the Cumberland Baptist family.
The banquet is hosted by the deacons to recognize the special needs of those who have lost a beloved spouse.
Kids Hope is a special program where church members have one on one time with an elementary school child at Pleasant Ridge Elementary.
The mentors are supported by a prayer partner, and they seek to show the love God has for children in a personal way.
Children's ministry continues with an annual Happy Birthday to Jesus celebration so children are reminded of the "Reason for the Season".
Food Pantry is a ministry of the senior adults at Cumberland to provide food for
Cookie Ministry bakes cookies to take to hospitals for those who are waiting for loved ones.
Christian Women's Job Corps is supported by Cumberland to help women learn work skills and get back up on their feet.
Cumberland has participated for years in the Mission of Hope program to bring school supplies in the fall, and toys at Christmas to the
children at Highland-Turner elementary school in Breathit, KY.
Mission of Hope Scholarship is supported each year in memory of two church members who loved showing God's love to others through the
Mission of Hope trips, Tom Monroe and Jordan Witcher.
Women's Ministry Sewing prepares blankets for missionaries to distribute around the world.
Cumberland participates in the Samaritan's Purse each Christmas to prepare shoeboxes of toys for children around the world.
